Successful companies need to inject sense of loyalty to its employees. This will enable higher productivity levels and less turnover rates. Digital transformation solutions assist you to achieve that. Employees need to be heard and included in some of the decision making processes. Ignite their passion for what they do and let them see the bigger vision of the company to push it to success with the rest of the team. Creative minds needs to work well in the company’s environment. This differs based on their generations:

  1. For Generation X and Baby Boomer (born before 1978), developing a certain amount of creativity would also depend on the ability to move out of a pre-established education system and into more analytical thinking. It is exactly the same challenge that we face to maintain a certain frequency of Gym training. It takes time, investment and perseverance, otherwise we remain stuck in our logical thinking.
  2. For the Millennials (born after 1980) and generation Z (born after 1995), the younger they are, the quicker the response that they are expecting and here you surely have to communicate through digital tools with them. These can be mobile application like PurpleBureau or web applications that helps in communication and ideation. In another article I will elaborate more on the tools to be used for creativity.
  3. No taboos, every employee should dare to laugh at oneself and get out of the comfort zone by expressing ideas without being afraid of being ridiculous. 

There are more tips to overcome our rationality at work but the HR Department and Management must be aware that it is a learning curve and it needs persistence re-educate people on what is expected from them and to push them to do it. 

Creativity is the key to success for both the company and the employee. For the specialist, there is no doubt that encouraging creativity in the workplace is synonymous with innovation and success. In a global and competitive work environment, business and financial processes are no longer enough to stand out. Companies that dare to create a creative culture and that foster risk-taking attract talent, build customer loyalty and become leaders in their industry.
